When log into the terminal for our Option11 this error comes up many many times:

BUG 6322 A31: No output singalling buffers are available
The current output is lost.

Anyone know what this means? A tech from the vendor told us that to resolve this we either need to replace the SSC Card or upgrade the RAM in the SSC. Does that sound right?

Thx,
David.

the suggested action in this case is to initialize the system (reboot)...

do u have a CDR setup? what version of system do u have?

your buffers are set to low
LPIB 2200
HPIB 2200
500B 800
SL1B 255
NCR 10000
that's the setting in my 81, and after you change them edd ini, they are read and load only

Thanks for the answers, we already did an ini.

johnpoole, i'm not very well versed in the system yet. How would I go about making those changes, and what do these buffers do anyway and how do you how high they should be set?

Thx,
David.

Oh and apart from this error message is having the buffers too low actually doing any harm?

David.

Sorry to be a bother...but I'm still having this issue and I'm not sure how to make those changes, if someone could help me out, I'd REALLY appreciate it.

Thx everyone,
David.
