I carried out some maintainance last weekend on one of our data warehousing SQL Servers to move all of the transaction logs (including system t.logs) onto a separate drive (it had been incorrectly setup originally).
Prior to moving them I was seeing a buffer cache hit ratio in the high 90s. However since the move I'm seeing a hit ratio of zero!!! (The same is also true of the procedure cache hit ratio)
The logs had been sitting on drives with a RAID5 configuration and have now been moved to a RAID1 config.
I've trawled round but not found anyone else reporting a similar problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Clare
