Any help with this would be great:

Win XP Home on the laptop
Win XP Home on Desktop PC
Buffalo Airstation G54 WAP
Speedtouch 510 DSL router / modem

The Speedtouch has an active DHCP server that is giving out addresses in the range 10.0.0.x and this works fine.

I have added the Airstation on address range 192.168.11.x as the Airstation instructions say to split your network into two ranges if you already have a router on your network (namely the Speedtouch). The Airstation's WAP interface receives an IP from the Speedtouch DHCP server (10.0.0.2) and the Airstation LAN interface has been given the fixed IP of 192.168.11.3. The DHCP server on the Airstation is disabled.

The problem is that this works fine for web access from the laptop but I am not able to access any shared files on the desktop PC. I am guessing that this is due to the two different address ranges in use. I can ping the desktop PC's IP address (10.0.0.1) wirelessly from the laptop so it must be some kind of name resolution problem or something?

Any ideas much appreciated

Thanks
