Hi All,
Thanks in advance for your help! I am using the MSP 2007 and want to get a Budget Report using template reports, "Budget" under "Cost Reports". The problem is if you pick "Period:Week" or any other period other than "Entire Project" budget of those activities that go more than the specified period is shown similar in each period rather than uniformly split it between the periods. The cost accrual are defined to be "prorated". There is no problem to get cash Flow" report or even select "Entire Project" period in "Budget Report".

I am looking forward to getting your help.

Thanks,

Could you please clarify. (I *think* I understand what you're requesting, just want to make sure.)

Give me a table of numbers showing the way the data is stored in Project and the Date/DateRange for each of those. Then tell me what Project is showing and what you'd like it to show.

I think the best way would be something like this:

Day1 Wed $5
Day2 Thu $5
etc.
Day23 Thu $5

Choosing Weekly, shows
Week1 (Wed-Fri) $15 <-- is that correct?
Week2 (Mon-Fri) $25
Week3 (Mon-Fri) $25
Week4 (Mon-Fri) $25
Week5 (Mon-Thu) $20

Or something like that so I can understand the delta between what you're seeing and what you'd like to see.

Hi PDQBach,
Thanks for your reply! If you see in the below example, it's shown that activity 9 will need $33,866.66 in April and $33,866.66 in May. However, the total budget assigned to this activity is $33,866.66. This is a budget report that has "months" period.I prepared a PDF file to attach but came out it's not possible. Hope that you would be able to figure it out. Thanks again!

ID Total Cost
April 2010
9 $33,866.66
8 $5,028.69
10 $2,011.48
May 2010
13 $42,333.32
9 $33,866.66
22 $1,453.90
June 2010
27 $2,423.17

Hmmm ... I'm guessing that the file contains private info so I won't ask you to post it here. Perhaps you could do some screen prints, put them in a Word document and then upload the Word document here.

Thanks.

Thanks! No there is no problem to send the file. But as far as i can see this forum doesn't provide file attachment option. The existing attachment option is just for URL links.

Thanks!

Hmmm ... the "attachment" functionality seems to be broken (I've sent an email to tek-tips tech support).

Send it to me: pdqbach4100 at hotmail.com
