Hello,
We are using btrieve for our accounting package called exchequer. And all the dat files are placed on win2k server. Application is working on 7 client pc's using win 2k pro. Once in a day all the client's application is getting hang. then i need to close all the season on win 2k server. then restart the application on client pc. Then it will work. Some time i am getting error 18 disk full!! error. Any idea what will be the cause for this?

Thanks

First off what version of Btrieve are you using? I would think that with a W2K server you are using at least Pervasive 2000i SP4. If it is at least this version, you may want ot check the server configuration. You'll need to check the amount of session. By default it set to 100. If you are using Arcserve as a backup solution you may want to bump up the session to at least 200. You also want to check the pvsw.log and any error log you app has. By comparing these you should be able to figure out what is going on. I would begin with looking at the amount of sessions available. These are memory dependant. Each session uses 32k of available RAM (i.e. 200 sessions=64mb RAM) if you have the available memory increase the amount of sessions to begin with.

What version of Exchequer are you using? How is your engine set-up?

In later versions of Exchequer, there are more handles\sessions opened. If you don't have the later service packs for the Pervasive engine installed, these could be maxing out over the course of the day.

Are there any entries in the PVSW.LOG?
