I am doing Y2K testing for a product that we have at ten sites. When I bring the site's database to corporate, I run a full system veri before I begin testing. At two of my sites, I have received a btrieve error 1 on a few of the files. The manual says this can mean that the btrieve operation specified does not exist or is not valid. The function worked for 230 files so I am assuming it exists and is valid. The database vendor says to ignore the error, it means someone had the file open. I am the only user and I was not running multiple sessions.
To be safe, I have done a recover and load. The error has gone away when I verify it again.
Is the error really harmless? Should I ignore it? Should I recover and load the file?
Thanks
