Does anyone know if there is a way to have a Btrieve 6.15 Workstation Engine and a Pervasive 8 SQL Client on the same computer and not have the SQL Client take over the Btrieve calls made by a program requiring the Btrieve 6.15??

It seems like you must have only one or the other and there is no way to co-exist.

Thanks!

Short Answer: Not easily.
Long Answer: The engines are not designed to coexist. THe newer engines are designed to handle calls from older applications. You might be able to get two applications to use two different engines but you won't be able to run the two engines at the same time. Copy the 6.15 engine files to the application directory that's using them. Then that application will use the 6.15 engine and as long as you don't start the other app until you get out of the first app, the second app will use the newer engine.
