Hi guys need some help on how to once a LDK 24 to PSTN phone lines.

Had 2 PSTN phone lines into 1 building and the new switchboard is in the same complex just the building next door. I've had BT out who said that to move the lines would mean loss of service and a delay in geeting it reconnected.

He then gave me 50m of cable and an underground box and said the best thing was for me to to run new cable and then join the new cable to the cable from the grey termination box when ready.

Sine then I've had another 2 lines installed, so need to transfer all 4.

Ran the 50m cable today, but how many of the pairs are used for each line in the LDK24 as I'm not sure if I need more cable.

Cheers, Jez.

one twisted pair is utilised for each analogue line .The colour standard is as such.

Blue white= Line 1
Orange white= Line 2
Green white =line 3
Brown white= line 4

As far as the BT engineer giving you cable and getting you to run it , that's a bit silly and annoying and typical BT.

That said it is pretty simple to set this up, follow the above colour scheme to keep it uniform post some pictures of the BT line box (where the x4 lines enter the building and where you intend to connect your 50m of cable to)and your system where the lines plug in and I will probably be able to advise you on what goes where , the other thing to bear in mind is how many lines is the pbx carded for as you may need to do programming on the system to get this scenario operational.
