thread581-1739531
My original BT hub died with an electric spike.
After finding that out, the engineer gave me a new Home Hub 5 replacing the Home Hub 3.
The HH5 doesn't require a separate router for Infinity fibre optic like the HH3.
After the HH5 was up and running, I tried my original game server setup and it worked first time. The original loopback problem has gone ( thread581-1739531 ).
I had thought it was possibly the game server setup but it was the HomeHub 3 all along.
So, if anyone has a loopback problem and is still using the older BT Home Hub 3, change the hub !
