Greetings All,

I have a customer with a BSR222. He is complaining of a slow internet connection. They have an intergrated T1 for internet service. I looked at the logs and found a HUGE amount of TCP resets originating from user machines sent to web sites and multiple resets to the same websites from the same machines.

The entry is this: "Peer TCP state out of order, sent TCP RST".

Does anyone know what this means?

Note that they use Mac's, not PC's. (not sure if this makes a difference)

Thanks

I've never seen that specific error before on a BSR, and I've put in a fair amount of them.
By chance have you gone to the site and connected your laptop directly to the BSR, bypassing their network? I'm not by any means a Mac expert, but I wonder if perhaps this could be a MTU issue of some sort.

I have about four of them deployed as VPN Branch Office solutions using residential and business broadband Internet connections without any problems.

It could be that the public IP is under a Denial-of-Service attack which is flooding the T1 link, hence the messages and hence the poor performance.

Cheers!

Thanks for your replys. I'll keep on digging.
