HQ system is a CS1k with VPN1750. I am configuring BSR222's and 1140E's for home use. I got the BSR's configured just fine and on the network, but the phones just keep searching for S1. They don't seem to be able to retrieve an address or any configuration information.

I've tried it a few ways and narrowed it down i think to DHCP being Full or partial and do I need to put in a VLAN ID on the phone?

Do you have 802.1q configured for the phones in Element Manager? If so, you may be running into problems with the phone tagging packets and the BSR not knowing how to deal with them. Update to the latest firmware on the 1140E and configure them (using the local config menu) to not use VLAN/tags.
