BSOD after upgrading Processor

Dell PE 4300. Trying to add processor to server. After I do, it BSOD at different times. They are both 500Mhz. Do I have to perform any other tasks for the server to operate properly. Was running NT.40, now running W2k. Getting same results on both OS.
