Just curious why this forum is called FreeBSD, and not BSD?
===================

I just installed OpenBSD on a new machine that I'd like to use as my Firewall.

Can anyone point me in a good direction to find step by step instructions for a newbie to set this up.

Any help is MUCH appreciated!

try not!
do... or do not. there is no try!

Thank you for your help.

Since my initial post, I have set up an OpenBSD system as my Firewall using ipf and ipnat. By far, I feel this is the best type of Firewall setup for any business or home user.

The documentation included with OpenBSD is far more superior than that of Linux. It was simple, straight-forward, and had great examples.

The only thing I have been having issues with is trying to use an MS box behind the FW to VPN out to my office.
(ipf is blocking 'gre' packets and I can't seem to get around this right now.) I am sure I will figure it out one day. Aside from that, OpenBSD ROCKS!!!

OpenBSD rocks not only as a GREAT Firewall, but as a standalone server to many other types of services as well.

Let it be known: I will be using OpenBSD for ever!

Thanks again for the help!.
