do you have a FIJI switch or a Junctor module? I have the same BSD alarms (no power alarms) on a FIJI CS1000M MG switch running 5.50 software.

I would be looking at the power monitor. I guess if it were my system, I would have someone with a lot of know-how on hand.

The system is a CS1000MG running 4.5. We have IGS cards no fiber. Loop 28 and 44 are remotes to another building (500' away) and Loops 36 and 52 are in the same building. I dont see the BSD's on the other 3 loops that i have here. I was guessing may be some type of grounding issues?? those 5 loops really dont have to much in common???

Are the network shelves supporting those loops in the same column? That would certainly be something in common.

They are not in the same column. But they are in two columns right next to eachother sitting on top of both cpu's.

Are those loops ENET (QPC414) cards that connect to QPC720 PRI cards? If so, Background Signaling Diagnostic (BSD) will fail often on those QPC414 equip'd loops. It is not possible for a ENET card to run signal diagnostic on a connected QPC720. Signal Diagnostic only works for PE equipment and a QPC720 is not PE equipment, its CE.

Simple solution, remove LD45 from OVLY

they are net cards NT8D04BA connected to a superloop.

I'm more concerned with what type of cards are in:

% BSD206 28:2 3 4 8 13 20 25 26 27 28
%% BSD206 36:36 44 52
%% BSD206 44:36 44 52
%% BSD206 52:36 44 52

What cards are in Loop 2 3 4 8 13, etc etc

Here are all the loops in the BSD errors

Loop 2 Dual PRI (NT5D12AG)
Loop 3 Dual PRI (NT5D12AG)
Loop 4 Net Card (NT8D04BA)
Loop 8 Net Card (NT8D04BA)
Loop 13 E-Net (QPC414C)
Loop 20 Net Card (NT8D04BA)
Loop 25 E-Net (QPC414C)
Loop 26 Dual PRI (NT5D12AG)
Loop 27 Dual PRI (NT5D12AG)
Loop 28 Net Card (NT8D04BA)
Loop 36 Net Card (NT8D04BA)
Loop 44 Net Card (NT8D04BA)
Loop 52 Net Card (NT8D04BA)

You have ENet cards (assuming they are connected to QPC720 PRI cards) in your system, best thing for you to do is remove LD45 from OVLY, you'll not see the BSD errors during midnites anymore.

ANy time an ENET card exists in a PBX, BSD will notoriously fail. Once BSD hits an ENET card, output of entire BSD process is erratic.

What is the purpose of LD 45 running during midnites?? Will removing it from midnights have any other effects on the system??

BSD checks to make sure all your SLP's can talk to each other. ENET cards that are connected to QPC720's will fail BSD tests. LD 45 is not needed in midnites anymore, the days of TERQ/TURD equipment are long gone.
