I AM JUST STARTING TO USE BRYCE 5. HOW DO I START TO DESIGN A FLYOVER OF A HOLE ON A GOLF COURSE. SCALE ECT.

First you should make your green. But since you are asking about the flyover I am assuming that you have done this already. So the way that I would do it is to take your camera and zoom it out to where you would like it to start. Then you have to start setting up keyframes. In each Keyframe that you make you should move the camera towards the hole. Bryce will fill in all the frames in between keyframes. Then repeat. I know it sounds easy, and it is once you are familiar with the software. One other thing. You should decide how long you want your animation to be before you begin that way you can space out your keyframes accordingly.

I hope that helps

Thanks for replying to my question however need to start from scratch. I need to know how to actually design the fairways and greens and also how to actually scale these so I know that what we are actually flying over is actually the correct length. I am fairly familiar with the actual method of animating the camera.

I would suggest modeling the fairway of the course in a different program...including the green. This will settle all issues of scale and so on. Once you have this, you are ready to add the hills and adding textures, and lastly, the animation that you are looking for. Try modeling the fairway in Bryce as a plane, or in a separate program (my favorite vice is Form-Z), and import it as a 3DS model. You will have control over pitch, angle, and everything else, not to mention better environmental renderings. Hope this was some help.
