We have several domains. In other states, we have different domains at our sister sites. Currently, we have T-1 to one site. Our "Corp" domain has two class B networks in it. Here is the current layout:
Corp_doamin(PDC 172.12.1.2) --> router(172.12.1.1)----> T-1 ---Sister_Site(Domain_2, 172.18.0.0).
The Corp domain is made up of 172.12.x.x and 172.16.x.x networks. When we try to readdress the router with a 172.16.1.1 address and make the current wan connection go through a checkpoint firewall, local browsing in the Corp domain goes haywire. Servers/machines ghost in and out. Theoretically, there shouldn't be any servers in the"Corp" domain at our sister site. All address are still pingable no name resolution is lost. Three questions:
1) Any ides what could be causing this?
2)Would a server at our sister site that has it's workgroup set to Corp, affect our Corp domain?
3) Is there a current way/utility to monitor our browsing traffic patterns?

thanks ahead of time,

1) Any ides what could be causing this?
Yes, you'll need to set one of the Domain Controllers as the master browser. You can do this through the registry.

2)Would a server at our sister site that has it's workgroup set to Corp, affect our Corp domain?
If there is a trust relationship between the 2 sites then it could well and truly cause some trouble for you.

3) Is there a current way/utility to monitor our browsing traffic patterns?
We got some monitoring tools from TUCOWS.com that work very well
