Please advise what Browsers I should have my static web page work in?

I assume IE, Netscape, Firefox and Mozilla?

IE and Firefox would be fine. Firefox IS Mozilla, and so is Netscape. You can also add Opera to the list, maybe Safari for Mac users.

Firefox and Safari (Windows and MacOSX) - both can be installed without impacting any other browser you may have installed. Then IE6 and IE7 for Windows users. As a "nice-to-have" you can add in Opera (Windows and MacOSX) - but this will most likely work "for free" if you get Firefox and Safari to render correctly.

Cheers,
Jeff

Make sure your web page and css validates properly against the doctype you have chosen - before you attempt to debug a problem!

Consider lynx too, if you're interested in how search engines see your page.

jaxtell,

Can you expand on that? What are the links between lynx and search engines?
