Hi,
I have got a problem with IE6, it cannot view any webpages.
Here is some background:
I open IE6, prompted to connect to internet (via broadband), that goes ok i.e. it authenticates and when you open the connection status dialog you can see the bytes going too and through.
Ok, so I now try to view a webpage ( but after a short while it returns the page cannot be displayed. At this point I thought I would try Firefox and this returns a similar error (host not found).
I am sure that the broadband connection is open, so I goto the command prompt type ipconfig and the computer has been assigned the ip address, gateway, etc by ISP correctly.
So I try to ping my local host 127.0.0.1, that works fine and now I try to ping and that returns an error unkown host, so i try to ping the ip address and that fails with "destination unreachable".
At this point I am sure that the problem lies elsewhere besides IE6 or firefox browsers, but the question is where ????
Does anyone have any ideas???
