Browser windows keep switching, WHY???

Lets take this scenario:
I'm working on my hotmail window and suppose Yahoo homepage is downloading on the other window... Each time it shows up an image or text, it switches automatically to that page irrespective of what the current active page is..
This is so annoying that I'm restricted to do only one work at one time... Can anyone help me here?

I'm using IE6 and OS Win98. Its a PC connected to DSL.

Good question.

I have the same problem here.
Im using a webbased Live Helper program.
Its importand that the window keeps open all the time.
But if i browse the net my liverhelper window will be used for browsing...Uchhh.
So i'm also waiting for an solution here.
