I'm looking for some info on browser usage (specifically v4 browsers) for a site in the consumer facing financial services sector.

Has anyone got any info on that from a site they have built or look after?

from one site, niche market 150,000+ page views 8051 unique UAs over the last 12 months.

these are all from unique IPs
IE4 - 21
IE5 - 406
IE5.5 - 753
NS before V6 - 0

If it's any help, here's the 2 'standard' browser stats I generally use:

[li]The Counter[/li]
[li]W3C[/li]
[/ul]

a site in the consumer facing financial services sector.

I noticed that, until recently, Natwest's online banking service excluded all but Netscape and IE browsers (based on User Agent)...

Chris, was the "niche market" in the money sector?

I'm specifically looking at a mortgage lender kind of thing.

If those figures are a reasonable representation (as I feel they may be) then it kind of justifies my not wishing to worry too much about V4 browsers.

No it's a caravan site, but having a scan through some other site logs over a similar timescale and there isn't a lot of difference in the results IE4 users are a very low percentage and NS4 user non-existent.
