browser settings question

I have built an html site.
At work, I view the site on a 19" monitor and it looks great.At home, I view it on my 17", and everything is too big.I think the graphics are appearing bigger than their actual size.I view it through AOL browser and IE.

Does anyone know if there is some setting that can adjust the size? Or is changing the size impossible?

Hi angy,

Are the resolutions set different on the 2 machines?

If so, thats your problem..

You can get round this by setting all your width properties as percentages rather than pixels but this brings in other problems. But thats another story..

You're right. I adjusted the resolution and everything shrunk. I can also set the pixel numbers to exactly the same on both computers and the sizes should be equivalent, right?

Hi angy,

Yes, you can set the size to pixels and a higher resolution will just add extra white space to fill the screen..

If you want to see an example of what I mean then just view this site at a few different resolutions..
