Hello,

I am working on a project that includes credit card processing on a secure server. As far as I know we have everything set up properly for the secure server. The URL that the credit card processing occurs on is using the https protocol. Our VeriSign digital certificate is in place. But when you get to the page to input the credit card info, the security lock icon does not appear in the browser. If you double click where the icon should be, you get the certificate information as expected.

What are we doing wrong that is causing that icon to not appear?

Thanks,

-Greg

On my browser (IE 5.5), if I double-click in the pane where the lock is supposed to be, I get a popup saying "This type of document does not have a security certificate".

Could it be video driver, not allowing those colors to appear?

What's the site? Have other people test it with other browsers.

I have had others test it. It is consistent for everyone. It has something to do with this particular page. We have another page in the same folder that the icon shows up fine on. It just does not show up on the page where people enter their credit card info. And this is consistent across all three of the sites we are using this certificate for.

It has to be something in the code of the page, but I have no idea what it could be.

Does the code on that page go get stuff from a non-https URL? That would make it a mixed security page, and if they had checked the "don't warn me about this again" checkbox the dialog wouldn't pop up when it happens.

AH HA! That may be it. I am including the stylesheet and some javascript from files on our regular web server. So maybe if I copy those files to the secure server and include them from there then I will get the icon back? Is that what you are getting at?

Thanks,

-Greg
