I am currently running Mozilla's Firefox and everytime I open the browser two windos open. The 2nd one sends me to some online poker page (most of the time). I have run my antivirus software, spyware remover, cleared all temp folders, history ect. Does anyone have any other suggestions that I should try to remedy this situation? Thanks.

you have adware. check out faq760-4866.

hope this helps. peace! [peace]

You use Mozilla, have you activated the popup blocker ?
Check in Edit/Preferences, goto Privacy and click the Popup tab. Check "Block Popups" and your problem should go away.

I have 3 programs for detecting spyware/adware and none of them solve the problem. I did remedy the problem though (kind of). If I change my start page from to anything else then the second page doesn't load. That is really strange.

I have activated the popup blocker and that doesn't seem to help either. I will check out the FAQ provided above.

Ah, you probably have to erase the existing permissions. Go to Tools/Popup Manager/Manage Popups and check to see that the box is empty. If not, erase whatever is there.
That might help.

CERT listed a bug in Firefox about a hole in their popup blocker.

can't remember exactly what it said but go to and check it out.
