Browser Plugin information please.

Is there a central location where I can get information on building plugins for as many web browsers as possible? Does anyone know of any good "jumping on" locations for learning about how to create plugins?

Any help would be great.

I didn't get very many good links for creating plugins. I guess to start do you know of any locations for building plugins for Nestscape and IE?

I would also like to know if I can build 1 plugin in a language like C and use it in a number of browsers or if I have to build a different plugin for each browser.

HMMM...
If you are looking for something specific, like you have mentioned, I think you should be looking in the programmers forums for help.

The ones I have seen are Java, but there are many here that are far more informed than I am. There are software programs that are designed to do what you are talking about for the simple ones.
