can anyone tell me why my browsers(IE and netscape) wont work with aol under windows 2000.IE justs keeps asking to connect but then justs says no page to display.everything works when im using juno, but not with aol.i tried everything with no luck.can anyone help.

AOL, especially version 5 is notorious for taking over you machine and damaging networking connections among other things. Not to be rude, but get a different ISP.

i wish i had a choice of ISP,but i dont.i have no local numbers for my area except for aol and juno.with juno i have connection problems.the phone lines out here are junk. i use aol with windows ME with no problems.i just like using windows 2000 more(no blue screens).i wonder what aol version 6 would be like any ideas anyone

If ver 5 isn't working, it certainly can't hurt to try 6.

What does AOL tell you? They should be able to run thruogh your settings w/ you.

Are you sure you're using the AOL 5.0 version for NT/2000? I had the problem before and I found out that I was using the wrong version. As for AOL 6.0, they only have a beta version for 2000.....
