I am uploading reports from MS access in snapshot format (*.snp) to our company's website, however, when you click on the link to the report it forwards you to a new window with a bunch of garbled text.
However, when I open it or make a link to my local machine it does pick up the application great and opens the document, both in explorer and netscape.
Do I have to change the permissions to the file or directory? I can't understand why it doesn't pick it up!!!
All the machines that I have tried it on , have installed the snapshot viewer and recognize the *snp format fine. It only doesn't work when the *snp file is on the server.
If you put them on a page as an embedded object it works fine, however I cannot do this because the reports are uploaded every day and done by people that do not know about HTML.
