I have somehow acquired something that forces my Win95 IE 5.5 browser to open Cool Search

I have run SpyBot and it found one problem but hasn't solved this problem....any help is appreciated

We have a win 3.1 forum.

Xemus,
Some people have equipment that is perfectly capable of doing what is needing to be done using Win95 and is not capable of handling the hardware or software requirements of anything later. They generally will not upgrade until there is a good reason.

wow anyone still use 3.1 ..
Have to take a look in that .

Thanks Ed.

Some of us prefer not to change OS like changing our underwear, and some of us support government networks where 3.1/9x vintages still flourish (albeit often out of budgetary necessity). Personally, I'll still take a 98 machine over XPs maintenance hassles. I find it funny to hear older OSs called insecure in light of the vulnerabilities manifest in the latest and greatest...but then again, I suspect that some inhabitants of these fora were likely still playing with action figures when 3.1 or even 95 came out.

I've had my share of win 3 and dos-2 and up also btw ,thanx carr for pointing that out.
When it comes to changing underwear every 8-10 years i'd say you have overdone it a bit .
Actually 3.1 was a joy to work with , no plug and play
hassle , you tell the resources and all pretty much worked fine .
This days we have to struggle with the bios/os to get our
settings right .
No problem with old macines and mb running win 3.1 .
But new mb with ACPI rev 2.0 ,,not easy to get an "old" os
to run at that .
Didn't think there was much activity in the 3.1 forum though.
Either caused by the reletively small amount back or people have no problems with it , except for drivers .
