Browser Capabilities (input type=file)

Does anybody know what the versions of both IE and Netscape were the first to support the &quot;type=file&quot; method for the &quot;&lt;input&gt;&quot; tag? I need to find out for some browser detection that I am doing. Thank you for your help.
