Browse to remote IP phones

Hi hope you can help. We have a large number of IP phones that we would like to manage remotley, by browsing to them via explorer with the phones IP address. Is this possible and if so what would we have to to do. We are using rel 4.5 and the IP phone models are I2004, 1140e and 1120E.

Any help would be most appreciated.

There is no embedded web browser in those phones. You should look at the configuration (DHCP-B, TFTP/HTTP) capabilities in the latest versions of firmware. Allows a high degree of configuration without having to physically touch the phones.

Cisco does that on Call Manager 4.0 - too bad that Nortel didn't follow suit (DOH!) They really missed the boat on it. I think Avaya allows web to the phone as well - but can't remember as I was dealing with S8700 almost 4 years ago
