Hi Everyone,

Can a browse have 2 incremental locator fields?

I would like to have the first locator field find a category name based on the first part of a 2 column key. When the user tabs into the 2nd locator, the highlight bar would position itself on that field as well since the category name would be known. The 2nd field is on the category number.

Thanks.

Hi Emad,

If you are asking if the Browse template provides for two entry locators to be defined, the answer is NO. But you can easily do it yourself by defining local variables, populating them on the window and embedding code to do a BrowseObject.ResetFromBuffer() to locate the record.

Regards

Hi ShankarJ,

Thanks for the BrowseObject.ResetFromBuffer() code.

I will give it a try.

Truly,
Emad
