browscap.ini: how to configure ?

Hello, linux73.
As no members knowing this topic care yet to answer, I might as well provide some maybe incomplete info.
MS position on the support of browscap.ini is less than forthcoming. It redirects users to cyscape.com. But, this latter for some maybe commercial reason is lagging in updating it for free download. Its copy available to public to date is still of Feb 2000 with IE 5.0 as the latest.
The below reproduces from a posting of W.Keener of Microsoft two months ago in google inetexplorer.ie6 newsgroup. It is given on an unofficial basis.
I think it would be good enough for your updating of browscap.ini. Just highlight-copy and paste to the appropriate place in your slightly outdated ini.
