When I view a photo in Photoshop CS2, it has a brown tint. If I view the photo in any other program (such as a web browser or PaintShop Pro or VuePrint), there is no brown tint (the photo coloring looks correct). I have read about programs to adjust or calibrate the display colors of a display monitor but this problem is only seen in Photoshop so I don’t think the display monitor is at fault (if it was, I would see the brown tint with all programs, not just with Photoshop).

Has anyone else seen this condition? Is there a color adjustment in Photoshop CS2 to correct the display so I see the same coloring that all other programs display?

Thanks to anyone who can help me out.

I guess I would still begin with adjusting and calibrating the display with Adobe Gamma.

From Control panel DClick on Adobe Gamma and follow the instructions

I agree. The monitor still must be calibrated to be sure that all the other programs are correct, and Photoshop is wrong. Photoshop is probably the only one of the bunch attempting to do color management. It could be that the system's color profile is wrong, or that the monitor is out of adjustment. If the profile is wrong, it could be that Photoshop is the only one of the bunch looking at it. Either way, monitor calibration should help. Personally, I want more than Adobe's Gamma program, but it's a start.

You might try turning any color management off and see what happens. You'll find that option under Color Settings.
