Hi, I have a Brother multifunction printer/fax/scanner. It has been working fine for about 10 months. I just went to print a standard office document and nothing happened. So I did the usual stuff, checked connections etc. all OK. I noticed there was no message displayed on the LCD of the printer,(usually says "receiving data"). Thought I would try the switch everything off, reboot etc. cure, did that, now the printer appears to be completely dead. There is no message on the LCD, no lights, nothing. Have checked the power supply, fuse, etc. all OK.
I have looked for a re-set switch etc. but can't see anything; at the moment have left unplugged from power and will try it again in an hour or so.
Does anyone have any ideas ?

Regards

Andrew

If you have a multimeter check the outlet, make sure it's 110-120VAC. Check that the VDC output from the power supply matches what the label says. If everything thusfar checks out fine then there may be a fuse inside the printer that blew, or it could have just died.
