Sorry about the caps. I am trying to route a did extension from ipo 406 to a fax server that has the sr140 fax software card. How does the call get routed to the fax server?

Thanks

You can with SIP / H323 / Analog depending what options you have in the server/software.

We are using H323 but am not quite sure how to configure the route in ip office manager 5.2(69)

Create a new H323 Line.

Change the Line Group id Incomming in 10 (if it's not used)

On the voip tab;

GW Ip addr: enter the ip of the fax server.
Compr mode: G711 Alaw or Ulaw
Supplm serv: None
Untick all options on the right, except for Out of Band DTMF

Create a ShortCode in the Manager.

Code; 1234
Feat; Dial
TelN; 1234
LGid; 10 (or other)

Create an Incomming call route, the destinaion is 1234

Thank you for your help. I have been out of the office. when I followed your instructions the ip office routes all did's calls to the fax server. Any suggestions.

Thanks again

Did you put the DDI/DID number in the "Incoming number" section of the incoming call route you created? I suspect not and so it's routing all calls to the destination :)

Ok I did that and if your calling in from the outside it works but now when you make a outgoing call it goes directly to the fax server. I have the incoming group id at 10 and outgoing group id 0. any suggestions

thanks
