Does anybody would like to share how to setup a back to back fax server to an option 81C using Dual PRI card and a Seperate D channel card.We dont care if it is a PRI or T1. Simplicity and ease of programing since I am new to thisatly appreciated. A step by step will be gr Any recomendation to which Brootout card I should use. Thanks for all your help

YOu will need to build a route and TIE T1 on your PBX to interface with the fax server. Brooktrout has very good support and shoudl be able to provide you with a white paper giving you the exact programming you will need to setup in your PBX. I setup a Rightfax server a couple of years ago and Rightfax could not tell me how to do it, but Brooktrout did the first time I called them.

Good luck with brooktrout. We set up a brooktrout fax server here on an 81c and their documentation on how the T-1's/trunks and routes should be built were merely a rough guideline of the programming. The boards they sell are only 8 ports. So you build a T-1 with only 8 channels to connect to the board. We also had problems determining the interface connections and pin-outs of the cables.I hope your install goes better than mine.It is up and running now with 2 boards and 2 T-1's with 8 ch each and is functioning fine but it was not a fun time doing the install.

Thanks for all your help. Which boards are you using. Is there any preference for the card type. Any web site shows a how-to do it.
Thanks

We are using the Brooktrout TR114P8V-T-1 boards. If by card type you are talking about T-1's,I have mine built on QPC720 cards. But the documentation made no recommendations. If you run into problems with the install on thye Voice side put up a post and I will help the best I can.I usually check this forum everyday.
