It appears that my windows networking is broken. The symptoms began with IIS being broken. Any net stop
command has no effect, and trying to launch the Services + applications just hangs. tcpip seems to be up, so the browser works.. but else is down.
Any advice on how/what to fix?
I believe it all began after I tried to set up a serial connection to W2K pro that could get on the network. At this time, I am lost without much hope other than a re-install.
