I have broken the Nr 21 pin on an IBM 80 Go Deskstar hard drive.

acording to the doc it is the DMARK output signal, anyway it keeps the PC from starting.
Would anyone know a way to solve this connecting problem apart from soldering evey signal individually ??

I've seen bent pins but never a broken one. The housing around the pins do a good job of aligning the cable plug. Those pins probably are machine-soldered on an assembly line and it would be quite tedious to do it manually. Because of the 2 banks of pins getting to the right one on the card will be difficult and it's too easy to get solder on the other pins. Of course, the best option is to replace the drive.

Count your blessings. Get rid of the Deathstar drive before it commits suicide when you least expect it (I assume you've heard the IBM Deskstar horror stories and the class action lawsuit against IBM because of that drive). A new drive would be your best course of action.
