Today when I turned on my computer, I noticed that my mouse wheel does not work. When I try to scroll down with my mouse wheel, the screen would go down a little and then automatically move back up. If I continue to scroll down the mouse wheel, the window will just continiously move up and down. I tried reinstalling the driver and it doesn't work. I am using the mouse that came with my Dell desktop. I tried plugging a USB mouse in and it works fine. I am pretty sure that my mouse is not broken since nothing really happened to it since it worked the time before I turned on my computer. Thanks in advance.

If cleaning the mouse internals doesn't achieve anything, junk it and stick with the mouse that does works.

Thanks for your advice. I am just surprised that it is a problem with the mouse itself because scrolling the mouse wheel is still very smooth.

If you have time you can try to open it and clean around where the wheel is. It may just be dust on the internal optical wheel.
