Broken mirrored RAID

Recently I have set up a Win2k server on 2x80GB HDDs using mirrored RAID. The server is running fine until one day my co-worker decided to break the RAID and perform a ghost backup on the drives. I dunno why he has to break the RAID to do a ghost image but anyhow after the ghost image, the server was turned back on WITHOUT the RAID being rebuild.

Since then the server has been running for a month, with what used to be 3 partitions (as a single 80GB drive) to the current 6 partitions 160GB config. A lot of work has been performed in that month, mainly software test. Now i have a server that has 6 paritions with windows registries pointing all over the place.

Is there a easy way to fix this problem, or do i have to go through the pain and rebuild and retest all the software. The server now hangs every 3 days +_+

Thanks in advance for any help....

Sounds to me like he ghosted the first hdd to the second hdd and this would overwrite the existing stuff on the second hdd. My suggestion is to do a full back up of the data and only the data to a tape or somewhere else, just not on that machine. If you did a full back up the system before he ghosted it you may be able to restore that to it's original location. Then you would have to restore the data files of the work that has been done to the machine (and probably) to a different location. This should get rid of all the messy registry entries and restore the machine to it's original state and keep all the data.

Good Luck
