Is there anyway to keep from showing the broken link image when an image is missing? How many software developers does it take to change a light bulb?
None: it works in everyone else’s office, it must work in yours too.
 
I'm sure that it could be done with javascript but I don't know if it would be worth the effort. It's just easier to make sure that the image exists!

When it comes to using images on other sites, you'll always run the risk that their server may be down, the images may be corrupted, their server is so slow that your visitors browsers timeout, or they may have removed the image(s) altogether.

Better to have control of the images yourself! There's always a better way...
