Broadxent Modem 8012u-v doesnt connect to WRT54G Router

Hi,

Am helping set up my friends network here in Pennsylvania, here are the details :

ISP : AOL DSL
Computer : XP Pro
Router : Linksys WIRELESS ROUTER model WRT54G V.1.1
Modem : Broadxent 8012u-v

Problem is i am getting "CANNOT CCONNECT TO PPOE SERVER".Question is there any workaround with this modem?

are you using a straight thru or crossover cable, I suspect you want the other one

I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

am using the RED cable that came with the modem, and it works when i directly connect the computer.

Yes I guess it is a crrossover cable.
