It probably wouldn't hurt to have "the other guy's" perspective on the jobs and careers outlook. If there is sufficient interest maybe we could use this thread to provide links to global perspectives on this subject area along with relevent commentary.

There must be similar sites covering the EU, China, South America, Australia, the U.S. and other regions. I'm not trying to play "ugly American" here, but personally I only read English so I'd prefer to see English-language sites.

Oops! I'm sorry, I did NOT mean to imply that "only English language sites are welcome here." I was just stating a preference.

If you read Portuguese or Dutch or something, feel free to add such sites to the list. I was aiming at understanding, not setting up more barriers.
