I'm running Ubuntu 7.04 on my Acer Aspire 1313 notebook and so far i'm impressed the only issue is that my wireless network card doesn't work. The adapter is a BT Voyager 1060 which uses the Broadcom BCMWL5.SYS driver i've read that it is possible to get this working on linux using a wrapper.
Is this going to be possible for a fairly novice Linux user or am i better off trying to pick up a Linux compatible card?
I've also noticed that the fan system runs full tilt alot of the time even though the processor isn't under load it doesn't do this when running XP, any ideas?
Thanks for any advice.
