Broadcom NIC Teaming Software

I have two of the NetXtreme Gigabit NIC ports on my Dell Poweredge running backup exec 9.1 and I have them teamed together using broadcom software. On the team properties under the load balance/Virtual Lan page. There are 3 options:

Smart Load Balance and Fail Over
Link Aggregation (802.3ad)
Generic Trunking (FEC/GEC)/802.3ad Draft Static

I have read the white papers and doc but trying to figure out which is the fastest through put.

Any thoughts at all?

Well it wouldn't be the first one, of the latter two I don't know sorry but I'd assume you need compatible switches to?
