Is there a way to keep machines on our network from receiving broadcast messages. When a low disk space message is broadcast, we are flooded with phone calls while we are correcting the problem.

Also, does anyone know of a good windows (NT) based search program that will search a network for "owners" of files?

At the console, you can type:

SET VOLUME LOW WARN ALL USERS = OFF

which will stop all users from receiving low diskspace messages. I wouldn't advise switching off all broadcasts as it can come in handy when you need to shut a server down quickly and you need to advise everyone via a network broadcast message -----------------------------------------------------
"It's true, its damn true!"
