Can anybody tell me how to limit who gets the broadcast messages when something happens to the server. We have a Novell 4.2 server,spa9 for our department and three more novell servers and a NT4 server at another location and every time one of the novell servers have a problem and we get a broadcast message and at least 2 other servers and the users that use the NT4 server gets the broadcast too.

Anyone who is authenticated (even silently) to the server will receive any broadcast messages.

Are you trying to say that your Novell servers have frequent problems? If so, post details of that and we'll try and help! -----------------------------------------------------

The main problem we are having is running out of disk space and having to delete and purge junk off the server. When it gets low everyone gets the message. We are going to replace that server soon with one with lots of space so we are trying to make it last until the new on gets here.

Why don't you:

SET Volume Low Warn All Users = Off

at the console?? This will stop low diskspace messages being sent to everybody. However, don't forget to check the volume diskspace manually!!! -----------------------------------------------------
