Broadcast message through ASP Application

Hello,
I would like to broadcast adminstrative message to all the user(in web). Since the HTTP is connectionless protocol, i can't send the message to all "active" user.

I tried refreshing a hidden frame every 2 minutes to pool the server, but the session is never expired.

Any help is greatly appreciated

My web-application has a screen area for 'system messages'; each asp program checks a file to see if there's something is to display. I used a plain ASCII file first, but changed to a SQL server table. br
