The owner of our company visits family in Israel several times a year (from Chicago, IL, USA). He's an avid stock trader, so he sits online with his Trading software streaming stock data. His Israel family does not have adequate internet access by their choice - literally everything is blocked at the ISP except email and skype.
Therefore he needs some sort of wireless access when he visits. I'm looking for ideas and options for him.
Last fall he rented a 3G(?) USB stick and while it worked (he wasn't happy with it), it was $100+ for just a few weeks of access (maybe that's why).
Pretty much my choices so far are:
1) Sign up for a US 3G USB stick from Verizon/TMobile/AT&T/etc. on 2 yr contract and pay roaming fees.
2) Buy a US 3G USB stick from V/T/A/etc. via prepaid/pay as you go. Still have roaming fees, but no bill on the months you don't use it.
3) Rent an Israel USB stick every time.
4) ???
Is there an option 4 or 5?
Thanks in advance for any ideas anyone comes up with.
Mike.
