Hello all,

I am using a dsl usb bt broadband modem, howeve recently purchased a usb memory card reader, bluetooth msi usb dongle and am also using a sony ericsson usb data cable.

I have recently reformatted and installed the above devices only to find that whenever I have any device plugged in to ANY ports (i have 5 + a 4 port hub) my internet sufferes decreasing speeds and eventual drop outs.

I know its something to do witht he usb devices, as soon as i unplug them, the internet almost immediatly recovers! Its incredibly frustrating. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the devices, and swapping ports to no avail.

Please, does anyone know what the problem is? I've also just upgraded to Windows xp SP2 (something I never did before my reformat)

Any help would be great!

Cheers

you dont want to plug you broadband modem into a usb hub. Think of it like Cable tv, the more splitters you have the less quality picture you have. dont you have a network card in the computer, if not that is what you should work on.
