Folks, in preparation to move our mailserver to a newer box, I have installed Groupwise 5.5 on this new machine and the gwia as well.

Everything appears ok, I can telnet to the new machine on 25 and send an email out to the internet. However, when making changes to the gwia object in nds, no matter what change I make, I keep getting error message:

An unexpected netware error occured:
error code FFFFFDA5

I press F1 for help but I'm afraid it's of no help. The changes appear to go through ok. I'm logged in as admin.

Any hints?

Hi, thanks for responding. The solution calls for:

1. NWAdmn32 Tools | GroupWise Diagnostics | Extend Schema browse to the <software distribution directory>\ADMIN\GwSchema.sch file
2. Choose 'Extend.'

However, in nwadmin32, I do not have the option "groupwise Diagnostics" under tools. My only groupwise options under tools are:

Groupwise System Operations
Groupwise View
Groupwise Utilities

does that sound right?

I really appreciate your help! But, I can't find the GwSchema.sch file after a search of the mailserver. How is it recreated?

thanks again.

I found it never mind. Thanks again. PS - how do I know what service pack level the gw servers are running at?

at server
type m gw*

look at version

if in doubt - tell me version

normally self explanatory ie 6.5.1 is groupwise 6.5 sp1
